Yota, the Russian smartphone maker, has officially launched earlier today their new 2nd Generation dual-screen smartphone at MWC 2014 in Barcelona. It is one of the most beautiful and popular devices currently showcased, despise the fact that everyone wants to learn more about what Samsung has in store for later today.
The name for this new smartphone will probably be set to YotaPhone 2, so that everyone will be able to easily differentiate it from the first generation model launched last year.
At MWC 2013 Yota launched their first double-display smartphone with Android 4.2. The main screen was a HD one while the back one used the e-ink techonology. This year, we get the same dual-screen device but bigger as its main screen measure 5-inch and the back one measures 4.7 inches. The default OS has also been updated to Android 4.4, so that the Yota 2nd Gen buyers will get the best out of their device.
2nd Gen Yota Smartphone packs the following features: 5-inch Full HD AMOLED front display and a back facing qHD E-Ink back screen with 960 x 540p resolution, 2.3 Snapdragon 800 CPU, 2GB RAM, 8MP rear facing camera LED flash, 2MP front camera, 2550 mAh battery, 4G support, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, A-GPS support, 32GB internal storage, FM Radio and the Android 4.4. KitKat operating system.
2nd Generation Yota smartphones will be available in two colors: black and white. The pricing for this device hasn’t been confirmed, nor did the official shipping date.
