We instructed you prior as of late that the oldsters at HTC rolled out the HTC One Android four.four.2 replace for the AT&T and T-Cellular variations of the tool. Smartly, if you’re studying this from the UK, you may need to test your HTC One’s notification space because the Android 4.4.2 is now being pushed to you.
HTC’s software updates page informs that the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update for HTC One is now being rolled for the unlocked models and for the Vodafone, O2, and Three variants. For the time being, the software update for the EE HTC One is labeled as “integration,” so you might have to wait a few more days.
As usual, the new OTA update is being rolled out in phases, which means that it will not be made available for download for everyone. If you didn’t receive the system update notification yet, you might also want to perform a manual check under Settings > About Phone > System Updates > Check now. If this doesn’t work either, it might mean that the new firmware is not ready yet for your device and that you will have to wait a bit more.
Besides the usual KitKat goodies like white status bar icons, transparent status bar, full screen album art in lock screen, immersive mode, or cloud printing, the HTC One Android 4.4.2 also patches Sense 5.5 which arrives with minor interface changes. Of course, you will also be able to enjoy performance improvements and bug fixes.
If you are from UK and received the Android 4.4.2 update on your HTC One, please drop a line in the comments section in order to help your follow One owners. Oh, and don’t forget to mention what carrier you’re using.
