Overview: PilotLight a challenging, race against the clock, fuel exploding platformer. Think of it as the “Target Smash” mode from Super Smash Bros on N64, meets today’s challenging platformers.
You play as a flame. Your goal is to destroy all the fuel jars in the level as fast as you can. The faster you do it, the better the medal you get. The time tolerance for gold medals is pretty tight, so perfect execution is key.
The levels get progressively more difficult and complex as you progress through the game, with environmental obstacles/hazards (air jets, moving platforms, water sprayers etc) introduced and combined. If your flame hits a hazard, you’ll fizzle out, and you’ll have to start the level again.
Since the player is the only light source in each level, you’re going to have to explore the level, figure out where you’re going, and determine your best route of execution.
PilotLight is rich in ambiance, with soft lighting, vibrant particle effects, and cavernous sound design.
– New level selection screen, divided the levels into “packs” for easier sorting.
