The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Android 4.3 update is now being pushed to the Canadian variants of the smartphone. The new OTA update is being rolled out for the unlocked handsets and for both the Mobilicity Galaxy Note 2 SGH-T889V and Videotron Galaxy Note 2 SGH-T999V, therefore you should check your notifications for the system update message.
The Android 4.3 update for the Canadian Galaxy Note 2 is being rolled out in phases, which means that not all users will be able to download and install it right away. Anyway, it might help to check for it manually under Settings > About Phone > Software Update > Check for Updates or by grabbing the USB cable and connecting the smartphone to the PC via KIES.
Even though Samsung didn’t provide an official changelog for the Android 4.3 update for Samsung Galaxy Note 2, but the folks at Sammobile managed to compile one. According to them, the new software will bring both Galaxy Gear and TRIM support, Samsung KNOX, update GPU drivers, and better RAM management.
Besides the above mentioned improvements the Galaxy Note 2 Android 4.3 update also packs the interface elements that debuted on the Samsung Galaxy S4, the new Samsung keyboard, new lockscreen with multiple widgets, Adapt Display, Professional Photo, Daydream, Driving mode and Actionable notifications.
The update also brings the New Samsung S-Voice, full-screen Samsung apps, tabbed interface for the Settings menu, revised Calculator, Clock, Contacts, Gallery, and Music apps, and other improvements and bug fixes.
