The Taiwanese phone maker just announced that a dual-SIM variant of the HTC One flagship smartphone will soon become available for purchase in the UK. HTC also announced that the dual-SIM One will be available fore pre-orders begin right away, at a price of £494.99.
Moreover, just like the One Max phablet, the dual-SIM HTC One brings a removable back lid, which will give you access to a microSD card slot that can expand the smartphone’s storage with up to 64 GB.
Unfortunately, the dual-SIM won’t make it in the carrier’s offers, as they are not eager to let you insert a second SIM from another carrier. Anyway, HTC says that the dual-SIM HTC One is targeted at “foreign nationals and students studying in the UK and business users who regularly travel abroad.” The UK is not the only market that has a dual-SIM HTC One, as a similar model was already made available in China as of April.
Aside from the dual-SIM compatibility and the microSD card slot, the new HTC One variant is similar with the model launched by the Taiwanese company in March. Therefore, under the hood you will find a quad-core 1.7 GHz Snapdragon 600 processor, 2 GB RAM, 32 GB storage, and a 4 MP primary camera with UltraPixel technology, capable of recording 1080p@30fps videos.
The HTC One boasts about a 4.7-inch full HD Super LCD3 display with 1080 x 1920 resolution and 469 ppi pixel density, plus all the connectivity features worthy of a modern smartphone, including LTE, NFC, IR blaster, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, and microUSB 2.0.
As I was mentioning above, the dual-SIM HTC One is already available for pre-order in the UK, with a price tag of £494.99.
