Leaves questions over whether or not the Xperia Z1 could make it to the U.S.
Sony’s CEO, Kaz Hirai, has been talking to Jap media, with market share and breaking into the U.S. specifically on the desk. With Japan and Europe accounting for round 60% of Sony’s smartphone gross sales, and it appears precedence one for Hirai is to take care of and construct on that:
“Our greatest precedence is sustaining our share in Japan or growing it … However coming into the U.S. market requires quite a lot of instruments and advertising, so now we have to move one step at a time”
So, for those who learn between the strains, that you must argue it is usually a while earlier than we see the Xperia Z1 in the States. If at all. That would be a shame, since the Z1 has a lot going for it, and it’s a match for any of the high-end Android devices out there right now. But Sony wants to keep making money, so perhaps it makes sense for them to hold off on trying to crack America for now.
