Moto X is available for a while and Motorola is following the trend of releasing low-cost version of high end smartphones, in this case, Moto DVX is the rumored smartphone who could be seen at FCC a week ago. Shortly after that, rumors started to flow and it seems that those who were pointing at an October release date were true, now that Weibo, our source, bought some more information about the handset and a possible price tag.
Motorola DVX will feature a 4.5 inch display with dual core Snapdragon CPU and a quad core GPU. It will also feature two low powered processors who will ensure an optimal functioning for contextual features and a more natural language processing. The handset is going to be powered by the same X8 computing system which can be found in Moxo X.
The price tag was set to around 1200 – 1500 Yuan, which is about $ 195 to $ 245, as presented in the same rumor. The lower price tag is because Motorola DVX is made outside US, where the manufacturing process costs less, while Moto X is made here in US. The same U.S. location is used by Motorola Maker, the customizable cover program, which allows users to personalize their Moto X. By moving the production line to U.S., they ensured a shorter shipping period but on a higher cost.
Going back to Motorola DVX, it is expected to have a dual SIM card slot and easily removable colored covers. Until this point in time, we are not sure if Motorola DVX is going to arrive in North America, and there are no clues that Motorola would deliver this handset once it’s going to be released.
Based on the specs sheet and the current price tag, would you be tempted to buy the Motorola DVX if it is going to be made available in your country? If so, which option are you going to buy: the classic version with one SIM or the dual SIM handset?
