The HTC One has been released for quite a while and many of the interested customers have already bought the device. However, some mobile operators have yet to launch the smartphone, one of them being Verizon. While other carriers have made the HTC One available for which seems a very long time ago, the subscribers of the Big Red are still waiting for the company to stock it.
A couple of weeks ago we head hat Verizon might launch the HTC One on August 1. Well, that day has come and there is no sign of the phone, not an official conformation coming from the carrier. Online publication Droid Life has posted what seems to be a leaked Verizon document, and if the doc is actually the real deal, it looks like the customers who want to buy the HTC One from Verizon will have to wait two more weeks. According to the document, the carrier has pushed the launch back until August 15.
We might wonder why Verizon and HTC are delaying the release so much. Well, we don’t get it either, but we can certainly speculate. Perhaps the two companies did not want to launch the HTC One is the same period of time as the Moto X gets released because they are scarred of the fact that Google’s smartphone will steal all of the attention. Another theory is that the carrier and the phone maker are just waiting for all the Droid DNA devices to be sold out before launching another phone.
I simply don’t think that waiting this long is a very good idea, because with the arriving of the Moto X, the new Motorola Droids, not to mention the LG G2, I don’t see many people crazy about buying the HTC One from Verizon.
