After we’ve told you yesterday that the HTC One Mini release date will be in two weeks, we are now arriving with new details about the mid-range smartphone developed by the Taiwan-based company.
It seems that the HTC One Mini will hit the first stores in UK as of next month. As usual, the company’s officials refused to comment the matter. The HTC One Mini market debut date has been revealed by @vizileaks Twitter account, the same account that previously posted some Nokia Lumia 1020 rumors which were confirmed when the Windows Phone 8-powered camera phone was officially introduced.
Of course, we can’t be say how accurate the HTC One Mini release date indicated by ViziLeaks is, therefore we are advising you to take the rumor with a pinch of salt.
The purported HTC One Mini launch date is August 9th, therefore the smartphone should be officially introduced any time soon, which checks in with the rumors saying that the announcement will take place in the next two weeks.
Even though the HTC One Mini is not a high-end smartphone, the compact handset has surrescited the public’s attention because of its design. Some leaked photos have revealed that the HTC One Mini will have the same design as its bigger brother, the HTC One flagship, but, in order to make it more affordable, HTC has replaced the ceramic bezel around its body with a plastic one.
The HTC One Mini will be perfect for the customers who can’t afford the HTC One but still want to get their hands on a premium looking smartphone with decent specifications. Talking about specifications, the rumor mill speculates that the HTC One Mini will sport a 4.3-inch HD display (most likely a Super LCD3 unit), 1 GB of RAM, Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, and Qualcomm’s dual-core Snapdragon 400 chipset with Krait cores clocked at 1.4 GHz and Adreno 305 GPU.
Even though it was initially reported that the mid-range smartphone of the Taiwan-based company will come with an 8 megapixel camera, it seems that after all it will borrow HTC One’s 4 megapixel UltraPixel sensor which will make it an even more desirable smartphone.
Anyway, it looks like the HTC One Mini will not be the last smartphone HTC will launch this year. Sources say that a HTC phablet is also in the works, and that it will be launched at IFA Berlin 2013, in an attempt to steal some of Samsung Galaxy Note 3′s buzz. It looks to me that the big players of the smartphone market are slowly building entire line-ups around their flagship devices.
