While the flagship devices are always the most highly expected, there are some customers who are not interested in them at all. Some of them just want a practical smartphone that won’t make them throw a lot of cash in exchange. People usually buy budget friendly phones for two reasons. The first one is because they don’t have the necessary money to buy high-end products, and the second one is because some people want to simply use them as regular phones, with to interest in fancy features and hardware.
Among the most interesting affordable handsets that customers have been craving for are the Samsung Galaxy Ace 3 and the Sony Xperia M. They both are cheap phones, but which are sporting decent hardware for their small price. It looks like we have some availability details for both smartphones, at least in the UK, due to Carphone Warehouse.
The Samsung Galaxy Ace 3 is listed on the retailer’s official website as being available as of July. So yeah, the device can’t be purchase right away, but at least the British customers know how much longer they’ll have to wait to get their hands on it.
Now let’s talk about what the Galaxy Ace 3 has to offer. First of all, it comes with a 4-inch WVGA screen and it’s underpinned by a dual-core processor clocked at 1 GHz. It also boasts 1 GB of RAM< a 5 MP primary camera, and a VGA one located in the front. The internal memory is rather small being only 4 GB, but it can be expanded if you also get a microSD card on the side. As for the operating system, the Galaxy Ace 3 runs the latest Android version currently available, namely Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
Moving on to the Sony Xperia M, this smartphone is also listed on the retailer’s website. But, in case this is the phone you want to buy, you have to be a little more patient, as Carphone Warehouse says that it will start selling it as of August, thus a two-month waiting time. Just like in the case of the Samsung Galaxy Ace 3, the Xperia M will also have a Dual Sim variant, but the retailer only mentions the regular models.
As you may expect, the Sony Xperia M sports low-end specs which include a 4-inch TFT screen that has a pixel resolution of 854 x 480. The handset is underpinned by a Qualcomm dual-core processor clocked at 1GHz, and it has 1 GB of RAM. Further, the device is coming with 4 GB of on-board memory, and yes, it also sports a microSD card slot. The Xperia M provides a 5 MP Exmor RS sensor camera located in the back, and among other specs we can mention NFC and Stamina Mode, which will help you keep the battery alive for a longer time.
That said, I have to ask you, if you’d have to choose between the two phones, which one would it be? Leave your answer in the comment section below the article.
